Africa's appetite for fine wine is growing fast, and almost no one is building the bridge. I am.
I'm Aline Rudasingwa, a Rwandan-Canadian sommelière with seventeen years in hospitality and harvests from Burgundy and Champagne to Piemonte. With Amala, I've signed more than 25 European growers and put their wines on 26 of Kenya's best tables, from JW Marriott to the Ritz-Carlton Masai Mara.
Now we're importing between Kenya, South Africa and Rwanda, opening Mel's in Nairobi, and taking our table to the world: from Vin & Hip Hop in Burgundy to private journeys through Kenya. This is the moment to join, while it's still early.
